Bad Bunny released the first official teaser for his Super Bowl LX halftime show on Friday, posting a promotional video to Instagram that showcases the Puerto Rican superstar dancing alongside people of diverse ages and racial backgrounds.
The video, set to his song "Baile Inolvidable" from his recent album "DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS," features Bad Bunny beneath a flamboyant tree, an iconic symbol of Caribbean culture. Throughout the clip, he dances with individuals of various ethnicities, including Latino, Black, and white performers, as well as men, women, and children. The video concludes with the caption "the world will dance."
The teaser was released simultaneously on Apple Music, which is promoting the halftime show as an interactive spectacle through its Apple Music Sing function. The performance is scheduled for February 8 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, home of the San Francisco 49ers.
According to the video's aesthetic, Bad Bunny has drawn from the same visual style he developed for his residency in Puerto Rico and his worldwide "Debà Tirar Más Fotos" tour. Notably, he does not wear a hat in the promotional clip, a departure from some of his other performances and videos.
The teaser emphasizes themes of diversity and unity while celebrating Caribbean roots. The message of global inclusion is reinforced through the imagery of dancers from multiple backgrounds moving together to the music.
A job posting for on-field extras at the Super Bowl halftime show revealed that applicants must be at least 5-foot-10 tall. The posting indicated that Bad Bunny, who is 5-foot-11, had raised the minimum height requirement from an earlier version that specified 5-foot-7. Cast members selected for the performance will not receive tickets to watch the game itself, according to the posting.
