Queen guitarist Brian May revealed an unreleased track by the legendary British rock band Monday during a special Christmas program on Planet Rock radio. The song, titled "Not For Sale (Polar Bear)," was recorded for Queen II, the band's second album released in 1974, but was not included on the final release.

May presented the track during the radio special, describing it as "a song from a very long time ago, but as far as I know, nobody has ever heard this version." The recording features multiple vocal layers, including what appears to be the voice of late Queen frontman Freddie Mercury.

A bootleg version of the song from the Smile era (the band May founded before joining Queen) had circulated among fans over the years. However, May emphasized that the version broadcast Monday represents a distinct recording from the Queen II sessions.

"I'm presenting this version here because I'm curious to see the public's reactions," May said when introducing the track on air.

According to May, "Not For Sale (Polar Bear)" will be included in a reissue of Queen II scheduled for 2026.
