Fiorello predicts Fedez and Masini will win Sanremo 2026

The Italian showman forecasts the festival winner during his radio program, also calling for Adriano Celentano's participation.

Fiorello has predicted that Fedez and Marco Masini will win the Sanremo Music Festival 2026, which begins February 24 on Rai 1.

During his radio program "La Pennicanza" on Rai Radio2, the showman made the forecast with characteristic irony. "I already know how it will end. Fedez and Masini will win. Ditonellapiaga second, Serena Brancale third," Fiorello said. "If it happens, they'll arrest us all here. But I have the proof," he added, joking that he possesses evidence to support his prediction.

The pairing of Fedez, a Milan-based rapper, with Masini, a historic voice in Italian songwriting, would represent a generational mix combining contemporary pop with singer-songwriter tradition, according to sources familiar with the artists' work.

Fiorello also took aim at festival artistic director Carlo Conti regarding the final evening lineup. "I read that Panariello and Pieraccioni will be there in the final night... but Carlo, you really are a liar! You told us no," Fiorello said, referencing Conti's earlier statements about the event's structure.

Beyond his Sanremo predictions, Fiorello has launched an appeal to legendary Italian performer Adriano Celentano to participate in the festival. "Adriano, I don't know if you're listening to the radio, but this country needs you, needs to see you, needs reassurance and only you can give it from that stage," Fiorello said during the program.

Fiorello stated he does not know whether Celentano is in Conti's plans for the festival. "If he's not, I hope he can be included in these plans because Italians want him. We want Adriano on that stage," he said.

When asked whether he had disclosed information about Celentano to divert attention from his own appearance at the festival, Fiorello denied involvement. "I have nothing to do with it. The Celentano story is linked only to him and his presence at Sanremo. If they don't take him, I would propose him for the closing ceremony of the Olympics," he said.

Celentano has participated in Sanremo five times as a competitor, winning in 1970 with "Chi non lavora non fa l'amore." Fiorello referenced a recent photograph posted by Celentano on social media, saying he has been waiting for the performer since seeing the image.

During the same radio program, Fiorello commented on recent television ratings, noting that the finale of "The Voice Kids" on Rai 1 surpassed viewership for "C'è Posta per Te." "The last time I did that was 25 years ago," Fiorello said, referring to a previous ratings victory.
