Lyon have completed the loan signing of Endrick from Real Madrid on a deal running through the end of the 2025-26 season, the club announced Tuesday.

The 19-year-old Brazilian striker will wear the No. 9 shirt at the Ligue 1 club. Lyon will cover part of Endrick's salary under the agreement, which does not include an option to buy. Real Madrid will receive further compensation if the player does not start 25 matches, with the amount varying depending on Lyon's participation in cup and Europa League competitions.

Endrick will present himself to Lyon on January 1. French regulations require a four-day waiting period from when a deal is officially registered before a player can feature for their new club, meaning he will be unavailable for Lyon's match against Monaco on January 3.

The 19-year-old joined Real Madrid in June 2024 after the club paid approximately 35 million euros for his transfer. During his first season under Carlo Ancelotti, Endrick appeared in 37 matches and scored seven goals. His playing time diminished significantly following Xabi Alonso's appointment as manager, with the striker appearing in only three matches this season and accumulating 99 minutes of action, including just one start.

At Lyon, the loan agreement stipulates that Endrick will receive at least 25 starts. The player believes the move will provide him with regular playing time and the opportunity to impress Ancelotti ahead of future World Cup participation.

Two performance-based contractual triggers remain active that could benefit Endrick's former club Palmeiras. These involve individual awards: the Golden Boy, presented annually by Italian magazine Tuttosport to Europe's best player under 21, and the Kopa Trophy, awarded by France Football to the best player under 21. If Endrick wins either award, Palmeiras will receive additional compensation.
