Man shot dead on Bronx subway platform after dispute with another passenger

A 41-year-old man was shot and killed on a Bronx subway platform Tuesday afternoon following a dispute with another passenger, authorities said.
The shooting occurred just before 3 p.m. on the southbound platform of the 170th Street B and D subway station, according to police and sources. The victim sustained gunshot wounds to the thigh and groin, authorities said.
The two men's argument began on the train before continuing onto the platform, where it turned violent, sources said. The victim was transported to Lincoln Medical Center, where he was initially listed in critical condition before succumbing to his injuries, police said.
No arrests were made immediately following the shooting. Police were investigating the circumstances that sparked the initial fight between the two men.
