U.S. President Donald Trump posted an artificial intelligence-generated video on his Truth Social platform Tuesday showing himself wrestling and embracing a tiger, hours after sharing footage from a fatal tiger attack in Britain.
The 23-second AI video depicts Trump in a business suit chasing, tackling, and eventually embracing a Siberian tiger named Altai, which weighs approximately 440 pounds. The clip opens with imagery mimicking real footage from the moments before the attack and includes the song "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" by The Tokens.
The video was posted following a fatal incident at Yorkshire Wildlife Park in South Yorkshire, where 24-year-old William Chapman died Saturday after being attacked by the tiger. Trump had earlier shared actual footage of the attack on Truth Social, accompanied by the caption "Never mess with nature! President DJT!"
According to reports, the family of the deceased man appealed to the public to stop circulating recordings of the attack. Police had also requested that footage not be distributed.
In addition to the tiger wrestling video, Trump posted a second AI-generated video depicting himself as a lion fighting hyenas, with political opponents represented among the animals, according to sources.
The postings drew reactions from observers who characterized the content as unusual. One commenter on social media stated, "Trump actually posted this AI video of him with a tiger in the middle of the night. This man is demented and mentally unwell."
The videos were generated using artificial intelligence technology and shared on Trump's Truth Social platform late Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning.
