Russian drone attacks on the Lviv region damaged residential buildings and vehicles in two separate incidents on October 13, with three people injured in one of the strikes, according to regional authorities.
A downed Russian drone crashed in the village of Murovane in Lviv district during an air raid alert in the early morning hours. The impact ignited fires in three residential houses—two one-storey structures and one two-storey building—with a total affected area of approximately 350 square meters, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. Three cars were also damaged in the incident. No casualties were reported from the Murovane attack, and emergency services responded to the scene.
Later the same day, another downed Russian drone crashed in the village of Malekhiv, also in Lviv district, during a separate air raid alert. This incident resulted in three people being injured, according to Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration. Private residential houses sustained damage from the crash. Emergency services were deployed to the scene by 16:00 local time.
Air raid alerts were in effect across multiple districts during the attacks. The alert in the Zolochiv, Lviv, and Stryi districts ran from 15:04 to 15:31, while the Yavoriv district received an extended alert beginning at 15:21.
The attacks occurred as part of broader Russian drone operations against Ukraine. Ukrainian air defense forces neutralized 89 of more than 120 drones that Russian forces deployed in attacks since the evening of October 11, according to prior reports.
